## Most asked questions
When will I receive my first rewards?
Rewards are calculated per block. Your first rewards will appear once your lease becomes "mature" (after 1000 blocks, approx. 17 hours).
Can I change my payment interval at any time?
Yes, you can update your on-chain preferences whenever you like. Changes will take effect in the next processing cycle
Why did I receive WAVES instead of my preferred token?
If a swap fails (e.g., due to low liquidity or price volatility), the system can automatically fallbacks to sending you WAVES. This ensures that you always receive your rewards safely
Is there a minimum lease amount?
There is no strict minimum, but very small leases may result in rewards below the minimum payout threshold
How can I track my payments?
All payments are recorded on the Waves blockchain. You can also monitor our Telegram channel for real-time payout summaries
What happens if I unlease my WAVES?
Once you unlease, you will stop earning rewards for any newly mined blocks. Any rewards accumulated *before* you unleased will still be paid out in the next cycle

**WavesFunnyNode** (also known as **WFN** or **WavesFunny**) is more than just a staking node on the Waves blockchain. We are a community-driven project that brings personality, humor, and a unique spirit to the world of decentralized finance

# Pref Payments
When you want it and where you want it
## Pref Payments & Intervals
WFN V2 offers two main ways for stakers to receive their rewards: **Preferences** and **Payments**
### Node Address
To start staking, lease your WAVES to the following address: \

### 1. Preferences
If you are an active user who has set on-chain preferences, you can customize your payment schedule
* **Custom Intervals:** You can set your own payout interval (e.g., every 500 blocks or every 10,000 blocks)
* **Continuous Processing:** Our "Preferences Engine" runs every 4 minutes, checking if any users are due for a payment
* **What happens when it's time?**
1. The engine calculates your total rewards (WAVES, LP, UNIT)
2. It performs any swaps you've requested (see [Pref Swaps](/documentation/prefs/pref-swaps))
3. It bundles all your rewards into a single, efficient transaction and sends it to your wallet
### 2. Payments
For users who haven't set specific preferences (Default), rewards are still distributed automatically
* **Weekly Cycle:** Mass payments for WAVES, LP, and UNIT typically happen once a week
* **Efficiency:** We use the Waves `WFNpayoutsMulti` transaction to send rewards to many users at once, minimizing blockchain fees

**No action needed:** If your preferences are outdated due to rule changes, no problem you will receive them by default, even if the preference time is outside the rules

Setting preferences is an on-chain action using the `setPrefs` function. This allows you to specify 3 token pairs, a target recipient wallet, and your desired pay interval.
#### Config & Monitoring

This address maintains critical settings such as:
* **Min/Max Periods:** Allowed payout time ranges.
* **Allowed Tokens:** Which tokens are available for reward swaps.
* **AllowedFrom Tokens:** Original source tokens for swaps
* **Min Period:** 100 blocks (approx. 1.7 hours).
* **Max Period:** 50,000 blocks (approx. 35 days).
* **Automatic Retry:** If a payment transaction fails (e.g., due to temporary network congestion), the system will automatically retry in the next cycle or use the fallback)
### Pref Commission (Getting Better Rates)
While our node takes a small commission to maintain the infrastructure and automated services, we believe in rewarding loyalty and large-scale participation.
* **Standard Fee:** Typically 10% (see Limits & Rules for details)
* **Preferential Fees:** If you are a long-term staker, a partner, or a large-scale participant, you can enjoy custom fee structures that are significantly lower than the standard rate.

# Pref Swaps
Your desires are heard, my majesty
## Pref Swap & Tokens
**Pref Swap** is one of the most powerful features of WFN V2. It allows you to automatically trade your earned rewards for other tokens on the Waves blockchain
### How it Works
When the WFN V2 engine processes your rewards, it checks your on-chain preferences. If you have specified a "Target Token," the system will automatically route your rewards through a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) to swap them before sending them to your wallet
#### Supported Swaps
You can set up to 3 token pairs for your rewards:
1. **WAVES** → Your Target Token (e.g., USDT, WX)
2. **LP Tokens** → Your Target Token (e.g., WAVES)
3. **UNIT Tokens** → Your Target Token (e.g., WAVES)
#### Personalized DEX Selection
At WFN, we believe in full control. While our system defaults to a smart routing approach to find you the best rate, **each user and project owner has the right to choose exactly which exchange their tokens are swapped through**
If you have a preference for a specific platform's liquidity or features, you can customize your settings to prioritize:
* **Puzzle Swap:** Our primary aggregator for the best overall rates across the ecosystem.
* **WX.Network:** For deep liquidity and native Waves ecosystem tokens
* **Swop.Fi:** For efficient automated market making and specific token pairs
#### Slippage & Fallback
* **Slippage Tolerance:** We use a 1% slippage tolerance by default to protect your trades from sudden price swings

**Disclaimer:** WFN does not guarantee specific exchange rates or price impacts for any swaps. While we monitor the system to ensure it functions correctly, we do not take responsibility for market-driven fluctuations in rates or liquidity on the DEXes

* **Automatic Retries:** If a swap fails during a processing cycle (e.g., due to temporary network congestion or price spikes), the system doesn't give up. It will **automatically retry the swap in the next cycle**
* **Fallback Exchange:** If a swap fails on your primary chosen DEX, our system can automatically attempt to route the swap through a **fallback exchange** (like Puzzle Swap) to ensure the trade is completed
* **Final Reward Fallback:** If the error persists after multiple retries or if the volatility remains too high, the system will eventually fallback to sending you the **original reward token** (e.g., sending you WAVES instead of the USDT you wanted). This is a safety measure to ensure you **never lose your rewards**
# Limits & Rules
Rules suck, but believe us - sometimes they make things better
## Limits, Rules & Maturity
For a healthy and sustainable node, WFN V2 follows a set of strict rules and operational limits. Understanding these will help you manage your expectations for reward distribution
### 1. The 1000-Block Maturity Rule
**What is it?** A lease is only considered "mature" and eligible for rewards after it has been active for **1000 blocks** (approx. 17 hours)
**Why?** This rule prevents "reward jumping" (where users lease just before a block is mined and unlease immediately after). It ensures that only long-term stakers who contribute to the node's security are rewarded
**Continuous Leases:** If you cancel an old lease and start a new one in the same block, the system is smart enough to detect this as a "continuous lease." You won't lose your maturity, and you'll continue earning rewards based on the minimum amount between the old and new lease.
### 2. Payment Intervals & Limits
When setting your preferences, you must stay within these bounds:
* **Minimum Interval:**
* *Example: Setting 100 blocks means you'll receive rewards roughly every 1.7 hours*
* **Maximum Interval:**
* *Example: Setting 10,000 blocks means you'll receive rewards roughly every 7 days.*
* **Default:** Users without a set interval are paid weekly
### 3. Node Fees (Commission)
Node fees are deducted *before* rewards are proportionalized.
* **WAVES:** 10%
* **LP Tokens:** 10%
* **UNIT Tokens:** 10%

These are the standard fees. They may vary based on specific node configurations or promotions

### 4. Minimum Payouts
To save on network fees, the system enforces a minimum payout:
* **WAVES:** 900000 wavelet (0.009 WAVES)
* **Token Swaps:** If your reward is so small that a swap cannot be executed, it will be held until your balance grows or paid out in the original token
### 5. Security & 2FA
Every payment transaction in WFN V2 is secured by a **Multi-Signature (2FA)** process. Two different administrator keys must sign off on every payout, ensuring that your rewards are always safe and correctly processed
# WavesFunny Governance
## WavesFunny Governance
**WavesFunny Governance** is an on-chain system that gives WAVES stakers a real voice in the future of the node. We believe that a node’s direction should be shaped by its community, not just its operator
### Governance Contract
All voting and proposals are managed through the **WF-WavesDAO** governance contract: `3PD2g7DBsnrk3idy7xBpTXEcGhPkw95L3x7`
### How It Works
Voting in WFN V2 is fully decentralized and non-custodial. **Your WAVES always stay in your wallet**, and your voting power is directly proportional to the amount of WAVES you have staked (leased) to our node
#### Stake-Weighted Voting
The more you stake, the more impact your vote has on the final decision. This ensures that the most committed community members have the greatest influence over the project’s direction
#### Non-Custodial & Secure
* **No Lock-in:** You can vote without ever sending your funds to a third-party account
* **Control:** Since your WAVES are never "locked" for voting, you can still unlease or move them at any time

**Stake Power Maturity:** To prevent governance manipulation, your voting power (Stake Power) only becomes active after your lease has matured for **1,000 blocks** (approx. 17 hours)

### What You Can Vote On
WavesFunny Governance allows you to participate in key decisions, including:
1. **Node Strategies:** Deciding which ecosystem projects to support or invest in (e.g., through WavesFunnyVC)
2. **Reward Payouts:** Voting on changes to reward distribution or new token integrations.
3. **New Features:** Proposing and deciding on new technical implementations (like the "King of the Hill" feature)
4. **Community Initiatives:** Directing node resources toward events, marketing, or community projects

**Proposing a Change?** While everyone is encouraged to suggest new ideas, all proposals must first be **discussed with and agreed upon by the WFN team** before they can be officially pushed to the governance contract. Proposals submitted without prior team approval will not be placed on the **WF-Node governance**

#### WavesDAO Integration
We actively participate in **WavesDAO**, and our stakers play a role in how we representing the node's interests in the broader Waves ecosystem. Through our governance, you can influence how the node votes on global Waves proposals
### How to Participate
1. **Stay Staked:** As long as you have an active lease to WavesFunnyNode (`3P98uUFYSP3jRr76kUAeW96Vb2m4LZhrAAf`), you are eligible to vote.
2. **View Proposals:** All decisions and voting results are visible directly on the [Governance UI](https://app.wavesfunnynode.com/governance/WF-WavesDAO) or through the contract data
3. **Cast Your Vote:** Sign an on-chain transaction with the following actions:
* **WfnWDAOvoteYes:** To support a proposal
* **WfnRetractWDAOvote:** To cast your maddness
#### WF-WavesDAO Operational Rights
To ensure the stability of our participation in the broader Power.tech - WavesDAO, WFN maintains the right to:
* **WfnFinalWDAOVote:** Force a vote or cancel a proposal if consistency or safety requirements are not met.
* **Emergency Protection:** These actions are only used to ensure that our collective voice doesn't cause harm to the node or its stakers

* **Custom Swap Routing:** Partners can decide exactly where their token is swapped and which exchange (Puzzle Swap, WX.Network, Swop.Fi) is prioritized
* **Target Token Visibility:** Customized labels and priority placement in our management interfaces
* **Marketing & Growth:** Collaborative announcements and driving more visibility for your token within the WFN community
* **Priority Support:** Direct line to our developers for integration and technical assistance
### Requirements
To maintain a high standard of security and trust for our users, we evaluate projects based on:
1. **Liquidity:** Stable and sufficient liquidity on major Waves DEXes
2. **Community Trust:** Transparent project goals and active community engagement
3. **Technical Quality:** Verified smart contracts (where applicable) and clear utility

# What can I do with my Unit0 rewards
As you know, stakers of [WavesFunnyNode](https://wavesfunnynode.com/) receive Unit0 rewards because our node participates in the Waves Layer 2 network called the [Units Network](https://www.units.network/) (Unit0). In this article, we will explain what you can do with these rewards.
### Participate in [Unit0 DAO](https://dao.unit0.dev/)
By participating in the Unit0 DAO, you can earn rewards from projects - such as this example from the [SWOP](https://dao.unit0.dev/proposals/7MzfsQqf7saCxifJRE1xdJ63stw5fD3sdJQky9n6LzjP)
### How to join to the DAO and vote?
To participate in Unit0, you first need to stake Unit0 tokens in the DAO. Here’s how to do it:

### Connect your wallet
First, you need to connect your Waves account to the [Unit0 DAO](https://dao.unit0.dev/)website.

Once connected, click on your wallet address and avatar in the top-right corner, then:
* Click **"Manage UNITS"**
* Select the **"Stake"** option
* Enter the amount you want to stake
